Damien Véran is the president and co-founder of SlimCut Media, a global leader in Video and Social advertising.

SlimCut Media helps media companies to deploy video ads and branded content advertising within their online and social content. Current clients include Globe & Mail, Vice, Rogers, Quebecor, PostMedia, TorStar and Corus across 3 offices in Toronto, Paris and New York City. In Canada, SlimCut Media is ranking #2 on Comscore top 100 properties after YouTube.

Damien has over 12 years of marketing and digital experience working at companies such Procter & Gamble, PepsiCo and Mars. Passionate about media, Damien has co-founded SlimCut Media in 2011 with the goal of helping traditional publishers thrive in the booming digital environment.Damien was invited to speak at the 2014 Advertising Week in NYC and was part of the panel for the 2015 PwC Global Media Outlook. Damien sits on the jury of the Ryerson University’s Master of Journalism entrepreneurship project. In 2016, Damien was appointed Foreign Trade Advisor by the French government.

Damien holds a master’s degree in engineering specialized in telecommunications and a master’s degree specialized in marketing from HEC Paris.
